Fattoria Mani di Luna

Italy · Umbria

Fattoria Mani di Luna, founded in 2012 by friends Simone, Rocco, and Alessandro in Torgiano, Italy, is a project rooted in friendship, tradition, and a deep respect for nature. With backgrounds in agronomy and music, the trio revitalized land once owned by the Lungarotti family, farming 35 hectares (7.5 under vine) according to organic and biodynamic principles, including lunar cycles and natural preparations to foster healthy soils and vines. Their sandy, marl-rich soils and hillside vineyards yield grapes with natural acidity, which are carefully harvested and largely destemmed by hand, foot-tread, and aged with extended lees contact and bâtonnage. Minimal intervention in the cellar is their guiding philosophy, with sulfur used only when absolutely necessary, allowing their wines to express purity, tradition, and the rhythms of the land.
