Polugar is a revival of a traditional Russian breadwine, known as "Polugar," which was popular in the 18th and 19th centuries. The brand was resurrected by Boris Rodionov, a Russian vodka historian, who discovered an old recipe and distillation method. Due to a ban on traditional distillation methods in Russia, production was moved to Poland. Polugar is produced by Rodionov & Sons using copper pot stills and traditional techniques, aiming to recreate the authentic taste of historical Russian spirits.
