Les Vins Vivants is a low-intervention natural wine and cider producer located in Tomi City, Nagano Prefecture, Japan, within the scenic Chikuma River Wine Valley. Founded in October 2019 by the husband-and-wife duo Takahiro and Tomoko Ogino, the estate is built on a deep respect for natural viticulture, drawing from Takahiro's six years of rigorous training at Grace Wine and harvest experiences in Beaujolais and Alsace. The winery focuses on zero-sulfur, organic, and biodynamic principles, utilizing spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and bottling without fining or filtration. Their distinct portfolio highlights both traditional Méthode Ancestrale ciders made from local San Fuji apples and uniquely expressive wines crafted from varieties like Steuben, Muscat Bailey A, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir.
